Thank you for visiting our page! My name is Linh and I am so happy to share with you our story.
5 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Liam Van Bounphaseuth. Liam had alpha thalassemia major and passed due to hydrops fetalis. He was my first born and has made me the mother that I am today.
My whole pregnancy journey was a whirlwind up until the day I left that hospital. In the midst of everything going on, I vaguely remembered being asked for copies of his handprints and footprints. About a month and a half later, I had a box show up at my door with this beautiful memorial plate. As a grieving parent, it was the most wonderful gift.
Our family knew that one day we wanted to be able to give that same feeling to another grieving family. So this year for Liam's 5th anniversary we decided to help fundraise for Mamie's Poppy Plates. We hope to raise enough to fund 20 plates in memory of our little boy.
